Guide to Trendy Maternity Clothing

When to start wearing Maternity Clothes

When you start wearing maternity clothes is an individual choice. Most pregnant women don't start showing until the 4th or 5th month. Some women start showing earlier and some later.

It is not really necessary to buy maternity clothes especially in your early pregnancy stage and even in the in-between stage that is before your 5th month. You can get by with jogging pants and big shirts. Trendy maternity clothing just look nicer and are more comfortable since they are made to grow with you. Whereas, if you opt for jogging pants, you may have to buy larger sizes as your pregnancy progresses.

Since being pregnant is a temporary condition, you should consider mixing and matching your choice of maternity clothing. You might want 3 pairs of maternity pants and 3 shirts that would inter match. If you will need maternity formal wear, choose a dress or dresses that would double for another occasion.  It is also a good idea to keep your maternity clothes after your baby arrives because it will take a while to get back to your pre-baby size.

Maternity Clothing should be comfortable not binding. Maternity tops are usually loose and and long enough to reach below the hips. However, the trend today is to wear Maternity belly tube tops which stretch and show your belly. Our selection of outlet stores carry some very attractive maternity belly tube tops in a variety of colors and styles.

Maternity stylish jeans have a stretchable panel  in front and a elastic waistband to allow room for growth. As your pregnant belly grows, your maternity pants will stretch. About a month before you give birth, your baby will drop into birth position. When this happens, your waistline will drop too. In other words, you will be thicker around your hips than your waist. The maternity pants you have been wearing up to this point, will no longer stay up. So, it maybe better to purchase low-rise maternity pants from the start. Low-rise pants  have below the belly waistbands. Also, your baby may kick you in your bladder and cause you to wet yourself or you might just leak urine with the added pressure on your bladder. It might be a good idea to wear a pad.

Maternity dresses both casual and formal can be very comfortable and attractive to wear. During your last few months, you may feel more comfortable in a maternity dress than pants. As mentioned above, when your baby drops your waistline will drop and so your pants will too.

At some point while you are expecting, your milk will come in. when it does, your breasts will leak milk. You will need a nursing bra and nursing pads so you wont stain your clothes. Your breasts will grow as your pregnancy progresses. A good nursing bra will provide support and allow you to nurse your baby discreetly after he/she arrives. Our selection of online stores have many good quality brands like Playtex nursing bras, Anita nursing bras, Bravado nursing bras and more.
